Indenture (deed) for sale of land by George W. and Mary Gest of Philadelphia to Frederick Stoever of Philadelphia. Land consists of 640 acres in Jefferson County in the Republic of Texas. Signed by George & Mary Gest, Edward Hurst (Notary), M. Taylor. Remains of wax seal, and with embossed paper seal. On reverse of sheet are various notes and dockets, and affixed in one corner is sheet from the Consulate of the Republic of Texas at Philadelphia, signed by Francis Gurney Smith, Consul of the Republic of Texas, certifying that Edward Hurst is a notary Public.
